The Littlefield Fountain is located on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin, and was designed by Italian-born sculptor Pompeo Coppini.

The Fountain was completed in 1933 and was commissioned by Major George W. Littlefield, a University of Texas regent and Civil War veteran, as a memorial to those who served in World War I.

The centerpiece of the fountain is a bronze equestrian statue of a winged Victory figure standing atop a ship’s prow, flanked by longhorns and horses.  The statues depict allegorical figures of Columbia, representing the United States, and soldiers representing the Allied forces.  The powerful and dynamic sculptures symbolize the triumph of peace and the spirit of sacrifice.
